Our team

Daniel Cisar

Over the last ten years, I have focused on managing the supply of global IT services and initiatives in the logistics industry. One of my recent projects has greatly supported my interest in the benefits of implementing Industry 4.0 technology in the field of logistics, primarily warehouse management systems. At the Faculty of Business Administration of the  University of Economics I study a doctoral program with this focus. I am currently professionally engaged in 4PL integration at the level of the European region. My professional interests include managing organizational changes and improving processes in the supply chain.

Jakub Jančík

The main area of my interest is to link logistics and IT in a harmonious whole. Given that logistics is generally very reticent to IT innovation, Industry 4.0 then represents a major challenge in this respect. My research focuses on how to collect material and information flows in production to enable the IT system to exploit the full potential of production capacities and to fully monitor production and thus prepare the ground for company digitization and other changes associated with Industry 4.0. I have extensive experience in data integration, design and implementation of data structures that allow a consolidated access to corporate data and to their subsequent manual or (better) automated analysis. My main objective within the CDT is to map out how current systems are prepared for the massive changes that are waiting in the future.

Petr Jirsák

As part of my work at the Centre for Digital Transformation, I focus on supply chain management in the context of changes that trigger the transformation of the business and its environment into a state known as Industry 4.0. The focus of my interest is not only a change in supply chain management, but also the overall strategy of transforming a business into Industry 4.0. I have been working at the University of Economics at the Faculty of Business Administration since 2005 and I have been involved in teaching, research and consultancy in the field of logistics strategies, improving supply chain processes and logistics technical base. My motto is "If you have problem to be on time, automate your routine to have time for innovation".

Petr Kolář

In CDT, I specialize in digitalisation in the field of freight transport documentation with regard to the related legislative framework, ISO standards, possibilities and limitations of Single Window and Blockchain concepts and models such as Buy-Ship-Pay. I am convinced that digitization is a key to a successful transformation of companies, development of new business models and products that enable companies in the logistics and transport services market not only to survive but also to ensure their long-term development. I have been working at the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Economics since 2008. I have been active in consultancy and training since 2012. I have focused on research on transport management and relations in the transport market as part of my repeated work in Australia, USA and Denmark.

My subtopics are global sourcing, IT services management, enterprise architecture, business models and strategies. I obtained a doctorate at the University of Economics in Prague. As part of my academic experience, I have also repeatedly undergone scientific internships at leading European universities. At CDT, my goal is to integrate current scientific knowledge in the field with interesting projects at the border of practice and scientific work. First of all, enterprise architecture and its use I currently see as one of the key themes that can help organizations to work more efficiently and lead to process excellence. As a consultant, IT architect, and project manager, I work with my team on both commercial and public administration projects.

Jana Kolářová

I help organizations and individuals in their development. As a doctoral student at the Department of Managerial Psychology and Sociology, I focus on servant leadership. In practice, I have been working in HR and marketing in a small engineering company with international scope. I believe that leaders who support people in their personal and professional growth enrich not only individuals but also the entire organization. Servant leaders can promote creativity and work performance. Servant leadership is not a panacea and I am interested in under what conditions the servant leaders thrive or fail. Digitization can bring unexpected opportunities to apply this leadership.

Above all, negative changes emphasize the need for a new set of social rules, behavioral norms for an effective ICT-based society.
